Let your inner creativity shine by creating something rather interesting in order to demonstrate something special or meaningful for your countries New Years celebration/tradition.
Task 1 – Research & Mind Map
Your first task is actually quiet simple!
Your teacher will divide the class into groups of 3 or 4. In your these groups you will be given a culture to base your research on. With our friendly guidance, you start to research about your culture and individually create a mind map on the computer using the mind mapping program Inspiration.
Task 2- Lets get creative! Go on and make a book
Are you ready to research and explore? This task requires you to make a book about the culture that you have been assigned, for this you and your group will need to do a whole heap of exploration and research! But don’t worry we will guide you though the way! Your book needs to be divided into four sections, as each section will include different information.
- First section should include general information about your cultures new-year celebration
- Second section should be about the country of origin.
- The third section should include where the celebration takes place
- Final section should be about how this culture is linked to Australia, Australia's culture and how it has influenced Australian people.
Task 3- QUIA Quiz
Once you are finished with your lovely book, you will be creating an online quiz for the other groups to complete. The questions on the quiz should relate to the information you have included in your book. You and your group members will also be required to take other groups quizzes in the week that is allocated for this task.
You will need to use QUIA Games website to help you with creating a quiz.
Task 4- Creating a piece of your culture
In this component of your I-QUEST you will be letting your inner artist shine by creating something that is related to the culture that you have been researching about. Further details will be given in the process page.
Task 5- Cultural and Diversity Mania Expo
Last but not least, this task is more of a celebration for all the hard work you and your group has put into completing this I-QUEST. Your teacher will organize a time in your final week where you will display all your work and creations to the rest of the school and friends.
