The world’s people have one thing in common, we celebrate the turn of the decade and welcome in the New Year through a number of celebrations- however one difference we have is the day and length we celebrate it.

Here are some fun facts about some of the different new year dates...

In Thailand the New Year is celebrated in April,

In Greece the New Year is celebrated in June,

In India the New Year is celebrated in April or May (each religious group has a different day.)

In Iran the New Year is celebrated in April on March 21.
